We won’t see you for Thanksgiving, BUT… we will see you before the weekend. 🥳
Lifts will start spinning at 8:30 AM Friday, November 28th, with daily passes and rentals available for purchase online starting tomorrow morning.
During the holiday period (Friday & Saturday) operations will run from 8:30 AM until 10:00 PM. Operations will return to early season hours (8:30/9 AM - 4:30 PM) beginning Sunday.
If you haven’t already, mark your calendars for the annual Ski Patrol gear sale coming up next Saturday, December 6th. Details for drop off and sale times are available on the cataloochee.com homepage.
Additionally, registration for our After School, Racing, and Women on Wednesday programs all open at 9:00 AM on Saturday, December 6th.

We never break a promise or save the date, and thank goodness because what a fun weekend of tubing and turns it was with so many of you who joined us. 🥰
The ski area will be going into the holiday week with a pause on operations until weather permits for snowmaking and conditions meet our standard of service. We hope this will only be a short break and are grateful to everyone who allows us to choose YOU by continuing to choose us. 🫶
Tube World will remain open this week and beyond thanks to all weather snowmaking capabilities. A full session calendar is available at cataloochee.com and tickets can now be purchased two weeks out. ❄️

OPERATIONS UPDATE:
How was everyone’s first time on the mountain for the 2025-26 season?! It’s been an epic week with you all so far and we’ve loved seeing everyone back in their element (our phenomenal staff included). 😎🙌
For those who joined us this week, you’re the real MVP’s. 🏆 For those who couldn’t make first turns with us yet, don’t worry because we are just getting started...
For all of you and beyond, we hope you know you remain our highest priority when it comes to making operational decisions that impact the guest experience. As most of you can imagine, due to the mere size of the project, our teams worked diligently on the Omigosh Quad chairlift installation from the start of our off-season to the very end. We never turn down an opportunity to fire up the snow guns and we’re grateful to have been able to provide an unexpected and earlier than normal opportunity for many of you to get on the snow. To allow for this, we had to pause on some necessary projects and as a result have made the decision to cease operations from Monday, November 17th, through Friday, November 21st.
We share this update with the intention and utmost commitment to welcoming you back to both Cataloochee Ski Area and Tube World next Saturday, November 22nd. In the meantime, tune those skis, wax those boards, and get ready for what’s ahead because we can guarantee there’s no fun like slope fun. ⛷️🏂
