Cataloochee Ski Area is pleased to offer your child(ren) an opportunity to learn to ski or improve their skiing and/or snowboarding in special programs offered in January, February & March to fourth and fifth graders in Haywood County. This year, we have two after school programs, which will run for four weeks each. Skiing will be on Fridays, January 8th, 22nd , 29th, and February 5th. (Please note: we are skipping the 15th for a MLK Holiday) Snowboarding will be on Fridays, February 12th , 19th ,26th and March 5th.
Throughout four Fridays in January & February, each child will have an opportunity to enjoy the sport of skiing along with other fourth and fifth graders, guided by one of Cataloochee’s ski professionals. On Fridays in February & March, the classes will snowboard with a snowboard pro. Students will be placed into groups of similar ability and will meet with the same pro each week, whenever possible. The Cataloochee Ski School is a member school of the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors (AASI.)

FEES The total cost will be $70 per student for skiing and $80 per student for snowboarding or $150 for both sessions (per student.) These fees include all rental equipment, instruction and lift pass for each of the four-week programs. (This would make a great gift!) Children with their own equipment and/or pass are welcome to participate in the program for the same cost.
