Groups
There are several things you can count on when you bring a group to Cataloochee. Small town hospitality, a helping hand at every stage of your visit, excellent facilities, and of course, great skiing and snowboarding. We have some of the best group deals in the Southeast and special rates for all sessions, night or day.
Groups of fifteen or more are qualified for discount lift tickets, equipment rental, and free lessons for first-time skiers who rent ski equipment. Plus, we offer a free lift ticket and rental equipment with every fifteen paid skiers. Our group sales department is available year-round to help you plan the perfect group outing. Any group of fifteen or more skiers qualifies for discounts on lift tickets and rental equipment as well as free lessons for all beginning skiers. In addition, for every fifteen paid skiers, your group will receive one FREE lift ticket and one FREE set of rental equipment.
Organize, Plan, and Reserve
Reservations are required for groups, especially during holidays and peak weekends when we limit group sales to make room on the mountain for everyone. It's a good idea to organize your group early, plan your dates, and reserve as soon as possible. The group sales department is open year-round for your convenience – it's never too early to start planning your winter adventure at Cataloochee.
Reserve Rental Equipment
Cataloochee stocks a large rental inventory of ski and snowboard equipment, but only a limited number of those sets are available for group reservations. Equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis – yet another reason to make your group reservations early. We require a deposit to confirm your reservation. After you make your initial reservation, we will send you rental equipment forms for your group to complete and bring with them at the time of your visit. These forms should be completed with accurate information for height, weight, age and skier ability level for each individual in your group.
Free Beginner’s Lessons With Pre-Reserved Group Rentals
Helping first-time skiers get the most out of their visit to Cataloochee is our specialty. That's why each member of your group age 7 or older who rents ski equipment receives a free one and a half hour beginner’s lesson. Experienced skiers and boarders in your group can take advantage of a discounted Ski School rate. Ask our group sales department for details and pricing.
Please remind your group that they are required to ski in control at all times. Our Ski Patrol will revoke lift tickets for those skiing out of control or for attempting to ski above one’s ability level. For more information contact groupsales@cataloochee.com

EARLY & LATE Season Group Skiing Savings!EARLY: Opening Day through December 16, 2012 LATE: March 1, 2013 until End of Season
All groups of 15 or more may ski any session for one low $30 package price! This $30 rate includes lift, ski or snowboard rental and lesson!
Hours of Operation
Early/Late Season: Prior to December 10, 2012 and after March 10, 2013, we will day ski only Monday through Friday, 9am - 4:30pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8:30am until 4:30pm, except for November 21-25, 2012 when we will be open from 9am-10pm on November 21, 8:30am-4:30pm on November 22 (Thanksgiving Day), 8:30am-10pm on November 23-24, and 8:30am-4:30pm on November 25, 2012. Holidays: Holidays are Thursday, November 22 through Sunday November 25 as well as Monday, December 17, through Tuesday, January 1, 2013; Friday, January 18 through Monday, January 21 and Friday, February 15 through Monday February 18, 2013. Twilight and Night Skiing: **Twilight and night skiing are available Tuesday through Saturday (December 22 – March 9) except for Christmas Eve. Also available on the following holiday Sundays: December 23 and 30, January 20, February 17 as well as Monday, December 31. IMPORTANT: Your lift ticket is non-refundable and non-transferable. The Ski Area does not assume any responsibility for lost lift passes. No replacements. Everyone must have a valid lift ticket at all times to enter any slope system. There is no grace period at Cataloochee Ski Area. Management reserves the right to revoke ticket for misconduct. All prices and policies subject to change without notice. All guests must have a valid lift ticket to be on slopes. No general public on lift without skis or snowboard. Management reserves the right to revoke ticket. We require a deposit of $20.00 per person to confirm your reservation. All group deposits must be paid with a single check or credit card and must be received no later than two weeks prior to your arrival dates unless otherwise specified by the Group Sales Department. The balance of your fees will be determined after you arrive and must also be paid with one check or one lump sum. We accept MasterCard, Visa, and American Express. The group discount is not available for groups paying on an individual basis.
