Kids Ski for Free! ...and stay for free as well. This season in cooperation with Cataloochee Ski Area, participating area lodgings will offer free weekday lift tickets and free weekday lodging to children under 17 (limit 2 please) with accompanying adult.

Family Days Starting January 14th, every Wednesday is Family Day and a child 17 and under receives a FREE lift ticket when accompanied by a parent purchasing a full price day, twilight or night lift ticket. Guaranteed Learn to Ski or Board Package
Cataloochee makes learning to ski or snowboard easy and inexpensive and it's guaranteed! Every non-holiday Monday-Friday, Cataloochee offers a special $39 Beginner's Learn to Ski or $55 Learn to Ride Package for first-time skiers or snowboarders age 8 and above. This package includes a beginner lesson, beginner's lift ticket, and a full set of rentals. And with our guarantee, you may repeat the lesson as often as you like during the same day session. Program participants are eligible to purchase an intermediate package at a special price upon completion of their beginner package.
The Cataloochee Ski & Snowboard School can arrange weekly Learn to Ski/Ride or Learn to Ski/Ride Better programs for your group, church, office, scout group, school, club, or recreation department. Programs are available for four or five weeks.
Groups Any pre-registered group of 15 or more skiers qualifies for discounts on lift tickets and rental equipment. Group members ages 7 and above who rent equipment from Cataloochee are eligible for free beginner lessons. In addition, for every 15 paid skiers, your group will receive one free lift ticket and one free set of rental equipment.

Equipment Rentals
Cataloochee's Rental Department specializes in providing you with all the equipment necessary for a great day of skiing. The prices on the chart below are per person, and include one pair each, of shaped parabolic skis, boots and poles. Snowboards are also available for rental from our Rental Department. Snowboard will rent for $30 per session, any session, day, twilight or night.

Ski Bib and Jacket rentals are available in our gift shop for $16 per set. A $20 refundable deposit is required for each item. A variety of Cataloochee souvenir items are also available.
*Twilight and night skiing are available Tuesday through Saturday (December 18 – March 1) except for Christmas Eve. Also available on the following holiday Sundays, Dec. 23, Dec. 30, Jan. 20, Feb. 17 as well as Monday, Dec. 31. Prior to December 17 and after March 2, see our Early/Late Season Schedule.
