We will be closed on Mondays for the rest of the season, but will reopen for twilight and night skiing Tuesday through Fridays from 1pm until 10pm and day skiing only on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30am-4:30pm through April 1.

On Tuesday we will be skiing on 4 out of twelve slopes with 2 aerial lifts operating on base of 18-34” and a machine worked surface. On Tuesday we will offer two sessions of skiing, twilight skiing from 1pm until 10pm and night skiing from 6pm until 10pm with an afternoon half day rate also available. Weekday, student and military rates are in effect. Also offered today is our Guaranteed Learn to Ski or Ride Package where first time skiers or riders age 8 and above may purchase a beginner lesson, beginners area lift ticket and ski rental equipment for only $39 or a beginner snowboard lesson, beginner area lift ticket and snowboard rental for only $55. And with our guarantee, you may repeat the lesson as often as you like during the same day session. Package lessons begin at 2 and 4pm and you must be here at least 30 minutes prior to the time the lesson begins to sign up. Today is also Men’s Day at Cataloochee and all guys purchasing a full price adult lift ticket will receive a free any level ski or snowboard lesson.

Tube World located in Maggie Valley, across from Ghost Town four miles from the ski area is now closed for the 2006/2007 tubing season.

Also, don’t forget that season passes are on sale now for the lowest price of this season and next. All passes purchased now will be good for skiing and riding for the rest of this season and for the 2007/2008 season, so buy now and save bunches.

We remind you to be aware of changing ski conditions and use caution. Natural and manmade obstacles exist and snowmaking and grooming activities are routinely in progress. Please use control and ski or ride only on designated slopes and trails and please call this number anytime for current skiing conditions.

Cataloochee Operating Schedule after March 4

As you all know, we were the first ski area in North Carolina to make snow and the first on the East Coast to get open and stay open. Without your help, this would not have been possible and we appreciated your support throughout this extended season. We are continuing in this effort and plan on staying open through Sunday, April 1. We will be on our regular operating schedule until March 4, and below is the ski area’s operational schedule as we move into the month of March, beginning March 5. Please be aware of this schedule as we move forward.

Mondays Closed

Tuesdays thru Fridays Twilight & Night Skiing 1pm-10pm Weekday Rates

Saturdays & Sundays Day Skiing only 8:30am-4:30pm Weekend Rates

We will also be making snow as temperatures permit throughout the month of March to maintain our base and provide the best quality skiing experience we can for our customers.
