Middle School After School

When it turns cold, it is tough getting the kids outside to get the exercise they need.  Cataloochee offers one of the few outdoor recreational opportunities for young people in western North Carolina in winter.  It is a place where local kids can learn new physical and mental skills, get fit, and socialize safely in a controlled environment.  This season, we are extending the program to include five sessions because we have found that kids often make a performance-leap after the fourth lesson.  We want to help them reach the next level safely.

Five-week course includes a  1.5 hour lesson, which will begin 4:30PM Tuesday (Elementary), Thursday (Middle/High School) starts at 5:00PM, and Friday (Elementary) starts at 5:00PM.  Helmets are included.

Elementary students can choose between Tuesday and Friday.  Thursday is for Middle and High School students.  Once you select the date you would like to ski or ride you must maintain that particular day for the 5 weeks.

We will run 5 weeks of skiing or snowboarding, the 2nd session we will swap to the other discipline.

Session One:
Tuesday- Ski-(4:30PM) - 1/8, 1/15, 1/22, 1/29, 2/5
